As a professional Photographer who travels to Tasmania frequently for Landscape and Wedding Photography, I never get tired of the scenery. It just gets better and better each time I visit.

I love to shoot weddings in Tasmania as I have the rich convict history to work with in my photos.
The buildings are grand. The history is brilliantly preserved and the atmosphere is awesome.
The freshest seafood that I have ever sampled are in Wynyard, Bicheno and Hobart on the wharf.
If you like Hiking Mount Field National Park is a must along with Cradle Mountains walks.
For beautiful drives I recommend driving through Swansea to Port Arthur. Be sure to stop and take time to look over Norfolk bay as you often get stunning views with fishing boats stranded at low tide.
Bicheno is a favourite of mine as you can often see Penguins and their young in your own backyard when renting whilst on holidays.
If exploring is your thing, my daughter and I enjoy exploring the beach coastline at Wynyard. It is rich in Fossils as far as you can see. You can see sharks teeth embedded with all sorts of fossil sea shells.
Launceston is well known for its great shopping. Ask any woman who has been there. Launceston is also well known for its Botanical gardens with its free viewing monkey enclosure.
Hobart I found is the hub for Restaurants and open markets along the wharf. Fun for all the family. Lots to buy and see. Yachts galore in this area if you are into yachts, trawlers and boats of all sorts.
From Freycinet to Stanley. Hobart to Launceston. Port Arthur to New Norfolk. Travel the east coast to the west coast you will experience not 10/10 but 12 /10 as a rating for one of the best places in the world to see.
